ECA approval by The Carbon Trust for the entire range of
JAEGGI Hybrid dry coolers and condensers
JAEGGI Hybrid Dry Coolers have been approved by the UK Carbon Trust as energy saving
technology under the Government Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA) scheme, which enables
owners to offset the investment in energy saving equipment against tax.
Hybrid coolers are approved as Forced Air Pre-coolers, which can be used to reduce load on
refrigeration systems by cooling water and other process liquids, prior to their transfer into the
refrigeration system. This includes cooling systems where JAEGGI hybrid coolers are installed
ahead of air cooled chillers to free-cool and to pre-cool the chilled water, so that chiller energy
consumption is reduced.
The approval covers the complete range of hybrid coolers (HTK1.2, HTK1.8, HTK2.4, HTK3.24
and HTK4.8 sizes), with cooling capacities from 100kW up 3500kW in a single cooler and with
multiple networked coolers available for larger installations.
Approval of the JAEGGI hybrid cooler range follows the recent extended approval for the HTV3.24
frame size JAEGGI hybrid condensers earlier in 2011, in addition to the HTV 1.2, HTV1.8
and HTV2.4 hybrid condensers, which have been included on the ECA Energy Technology List
since 2007.
These ECA approvals underline the commitment by JAEGGI in continuous development of
high-efficiency energy and water saving cooling technology. |
